Page 2
October 5, 1989
Schedule for corrective actions
Snyder Quarry
Fred Banta
b: It is felt that the culverts should be installed
after the grading work on the major disturbances is
completed so the culverts in and near those work areas coin
be properly set and aligned with any alterations in
topography resulting from the regrading of the major
disturbances. No work can be done on grading the major
disturbances until the corrective action plan is approved
which will not be considered until October 18.
2. MAJOR ROADSIDE DISTURBANCES
a: Correcting the major roadside disturbances cannot
be done until the corrective action plan is approved. To do
so could risk doing work which would not be approved by the
Board. The board will not consider the corrective actior.
plan until October 18.
b: Removal of disturbance area #4 is estimated [o
require 7 to 14 working days to complete.
c: Grading of disturbance area #1 is estimated to
require from 7 to 10 days to complete.
d: Topsoiling of disturbance areas #2 and #3 will
require about one day to complete.
e: Topsoiling of disturbances #1 and #4 will take at
least one day each.
f: Seeding of the four areas will take from one to two
days to complete.
SEDIMENT BASIN -
a: The design of the sediment basin must be based on
accurate topographic mapping of the watershed above the pond
area. The topography in this area was modified as a result
of the installation of the water storage pond and therefore
the existing mapping of that portion of the drainage is no
longer accurate. Such current mapping does not even exist
and would take from one to four weeks to create, depending
upon the method used.
b: Construction of the sediment pond, once designed
and approved, will probably take from two to five weeks.
