Therefore, NOV C-93-113 was issued. <br />POLL AND DEVELOPHElIT WAS TG <br />At.the Lime of the inspection there was one area on the western <br />slope of the pile that was conveying water over the ~fnce aP the <br />refuse 1,ile. This was evidenced by the formation o! rills that <br />beyart at the top of the pile. Prior to the conclusion of the <br />inspection, the operator constructed a berm in this area to prevent <br />water Prom flowing over the fare of the pile. 'The operator <br />continpns and should continue to maintain a berm and silt fence <br />around the yerimeter oP the pile, at the top of the pile. MCC <br />' should cotoplete the reclamation of the western side oP t}te refu:e <br />pile, including seeding, prior to the end of ttris field season. <br />' :•. <br />POfID REPORT <br />~~ <br />.. ~ <br />, r . ,. <br />ti8-1: The oparator'a pond inspection report for .the second <br />quarto r• oP 1999, noted a seep at the Nir corner of the toe <br />of the embartl'.ment near the Sw corner of the surface shop. <br />~. At th? time of the Dlviaiort's inspection the embankment <br />was damp, and there was standing water of the gravel pad <br />below the enbanlunertt. 7'hure are cattails growing, which <br />is evidence that the beep has bean active for some time. <br />This area should continuo to be monltored,.to identify <br />the source oC the water. There ware some cracks noted on <br />the north side of the pond, on top of the embankment.
