Public roads are not <br />required to be permitted, however those public roads which <br />are found to have a primary purpose to facilitate mining <br />will be studied at a later date. <br />Coal mine waste- The latest certification of the refuse pile <br />was 10-23-91. <br />Excess spoil disposal- Not applicable to this mine. <br />Recent permitting actions: Current permit revised and issued 1- <br />6-90. The expiration date is 7-30-94. No recent permitting <br />action. <br />Pending permitting actions: Technical revisions 9 and 12 are <br />pending. #9 was a revision to change the permit boundary in the <br />GEC area to allow for refuse disposal in an old pit. #12 was a <br />revision to change the spillway in ponds from a combination to an <br />open spillway. <br />A stability study on the refuse area is due 1-15-92 to propose <br />changes in the way the material is placed, Also preliminary work <br />is being done to add a ventilation shaft <br />Special conditions: There are 9 stipulation attached to the <br />permit which will be listed below by number and their status. <br />#9-a future requirement which cannot be met at this time. <br />#6-is being met but need to clarify "significant" amount of in <br />water flow. MLRD will ask this be done. <br />#9-the first part has been met, the second is a future <br />requirement. <br />#12-this will not be done due to the decision not to mine in the <br />area. <br />#13-has been met. <br />#19-is being met. <br />#15-is being met. <br />#16-has been met. <br />#17-has been extended to 30 days after resolution of technical <br />revision 9. <br />Subsidence monitoring: Information through October of 1991 <br />indicates that the subsidence which has occurred to that date is <br />will within the projected limits. <br />
