Fugitive dust is expected from only one source -truck traffic along the haul roads.
Experience indicates the mining operations in the pits themselves generate little, if any,
dust. Water will be sprayed onto the roads to control dust, as needed, and relatively slow
haul truck speed limits enforced.
Mining Timetable. The uncertainty of current economic conditions in the construction
industry precludes accurate forecasts of mining activity over the life of the mine.
Therefore, the operator has elected to estimate a mining timetable based on an average
year and expects a specific year to vary widely from the average.
MINING TIMETABLE
Stage Years Total Acres +/- Mined Acres +/-
1 See Note 1 22.80 14.32
2 55-60 47.30 44.53
3 See Note 1 10.18 8.40
4 40-45 15.52 11.95
5 45-50 21.99 20.89
6 15-20 8.13 7.44
7 35-40 5.59 0
TOTALS 131.51 107.53
Note I: Clay mining operations are completed in these stages.
12 Revised: Dec. 2003
