1 <br />Environmental and Resource Economics 1 <br />RCG/Ilagler, Bailly, having provided environmental and resource economics consulting for ten years, ' <br />haz pioneered the development and application of all major economic valuation techniques currently <br />in use including travel cast models, contingent valuation, hedonic pricing models and market pricing ' <br />models. This work has been applied to cost-benefit analyses az well as to evaluations of regulatory <br />strategies. Examples include: <br />^ Visibility Value Assessments <br />This work includes design and execution of a contingent valuation survey concerning visibility ' <br />at national parks, a benefits analysis for the EPA on proposed emission controls at the <br />Navajo Generating Station to reduce impacts on visbility at the Grand Canyon, and the <br />publication of the book, The Value of Viability. ' <br />^ Acid Ratn Integrated Benefits Analysts (ARIBA) ~ , <br />As required by the Acid Rain provisioas of the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990, <br />RCG/liagler, Bailly is managing and conducting a comprehensive benefits analysis for EPA. <br />This study, which builds upon work by the National Acid Precipitation Assessment Program, ' <br />includes new injury assessment work, economic quantification, and the ARIBA computerized <br />benefits model. <br />^ Valuation of U.S. and Canadian AU Pollution Control Alternatives ' <br />This work includes a study on global climate impacts on human health and agriculture, and ' <br />a valuation of ecosystem and recreational impacts due to changes in acid deposition controls <br />and National Ambient Air Quality Standards. This work includes two widely cited studies: <br />The Value of Air Pollution Control in California, and The Health Effects of Air Pollution <br />in the South Coast Air Basin. ' <br />^ Economic Analyses of Recreation ' <br />RCG/Hagler, Badly conducted a participation analysis and economic valuation of recreational <br />fishing along the Pacific coast of the United States, which was conducted for the National <br />Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and published in the lorunal of Envir»nmenral <br />Economies and Management. RCG/Hagler, Bailly also analysed the social and economic ' <br />impacts of a new dam on the Penobscott River on the Atlantic salmon fishery in Maine. <br />^ Ernnomlc Valuation of Alr Pollution Damage to Crops and Recreational Forests <br />This analysis included a crops study focusing on CaGfomia's San Joaquin Valley, with results ' <br />published in the Journal of the Air Pollution Control Association, and a study addressing risks <br />to forest resources throughout the state of California. <br />1 <br />1 <br /> <br />
