anticipated. The pord was observed in June (1/2 full), July (1/2 full),
and August (1/4 full) 1992 and found partially full with no discharge
occurring. No water quality samples were obtained. A sufficient database
exists to characterize pre-mining water quality at this site. No further
monitoring was conducted during 1992 as it was presumed the pond remained
below discharge levels throughout the remainder of the year. There is no
practical reason to continue monitoring at Pord 13-4 as no mine related
impacts can reasonably be expected to occur at this site.
P 13-7: Ford 13-7 overlies Panel A+ which was mined in early 1992. Retreat mining
in of Panel A+ was conlleted in mid-March. 4he porxi was observed in June
(1/2 full), July (1/4 full), and August (1/8 full) 1992 aryl found
partially full with no discharge occarrrirrg. No water quality samples were
obtairroed as no discharges were observed. A sufficient database exists to
characterize pre-mining water quality at this site. No further monitoring
was conducted during 1992 as it was presumed the porn remained below
discharge levels thro0.x~rout the remainder of the year. The July and
Auoust observations were wnitted fran the A[II2.
P 13-8~: Pord 13-8 overlies an area of the Fast mine inactive since 1981. The area
belay Pond 13-8 was retreat mined in December, 1980. Ford 13-8 is a very
small pond which typically dries up early. The pond was observed in June,
July, and A ~1Ct 1992 and fourd dry on all occasions. A sufficient
database exists to characterize water quality at this site. Available
water quality information for this pord has all been collected subsequent
to mining in this area. No further monitoring was conducted during 1992
as the pond was observed dry and presumed to remain dry throughout the
remainder of the year. 'There is no practical reason to wntinue
monitoring at Pond 13-8 as no further mine related impacts can reasonably
be expected to occur at this site.
P 18-42: Pond 18-4 overlies an area of the Fast mine inactive since 1983. No
retreat mining has occurred in the vicinity of Pond 18-4. Pond 18-4 was
observed in June (1/4 full), July (dry), aryl August (dry) 1992. No water
quality samples were obtained as no flows were observed. A sufficient
database exists to characterize water quality at this site. Available
water quality information for this pond has all been wllected subsequent
to mining in this area. No further monitoring was wnducted during 1992
as the pond was observed dry and presumed to remain dry throughout the
remainder of the year.
P 19-12: Pond 19-1 overlies an area of the Fast mine inactive since 1983. The pond
was observed in August (dry) primarily to evaluate any obvious physical
impacts. None were noted. A sufficient database exists to characterize
water quality at this site. Available water quality information for this
was observed in August (dry) pond has all been collected subsequent to
mining in this area. No further monitoring was conducted during 1992 as
the pond was observed dry and pres-~mied to remain dry throuc~rout the
remainder of the year.
P 822: Pond 82 overlies an area of the Fast mine inactive since 1986 and outside
the potential subsidence zone given mine development to date. The pond
was observed in August (dry) primarily to evaluate any obvious physical
impacts. None were noted. A sufficient database exists to characterize
water quality at this site. Water quality information for this pond has
4
