year.

P 12-9': Pond 12-9 lies outside the area of any potential mining impacts. The pond
was observed in July (1/3 full) and August (1/4 full). The August
observation was omitted from the AHI2. No water quality samples were
obtained. A sufficient database exists to characterize pre-mining water
quality at this site. No further monitoring efforts were expeiYled on this
pond durir-g 1992. 'There is no practical reason to continue monitoring at
Porn 12-9 as no mine related impacts can reasonably be expected to occur
at this site.
P 12-10': Pond 12-10 lies outside the sutsidence zone although small areas of the
contributing watP*^Gh~ are within this zone. the areas within the
subsidence zone in the watershed have been idle in terms of mining since
1983. Pond 12-10 was observed dischazgirq in July but no water quality
sample was obtained as water within the porn appeared stagnant and
concentrated inflows sufficient to sample could not be identified. A
sufficient database exists to characterize water quality at this site
although all water quality information for this pond has been collected
subsequent to mining in this area. Pond 12-10 was subsequently observed
to be dry in August. No further monitoring was conducted during 1992 as
the pord was observed dry and presumed to remain dry throughout the
remainder of the year. There is no practical reason to continue
monitoring at Ford 12-10 as no mine related impacts can reasonably be
expected to occur at this site.
P 12-11~: Pond 12-11 lies outside the subsidence zone although small areas of the
oontributirg watershed are within this zone. The areas within the
subsidence zone in the watershed have been idle in terms of mining since
1983. Ford 12-11 was observa3 in June (1/2 full), July (1/4 full), and
August (1/4 full) 1992 aryl found partially full with no discharge
occurring. No water quality samples were obtained. A sufficient database
exists to characterize pre-mining water quality at this site. Available
water quality information for this pond has all been collected subsequent
to mining ]S1 this area. No further monitoring was conduc,-ted during 1992
as it was presim~ed the pond remained below discharge levels throughout the
remairder of the year. The Julv and Auoust observations were omitted from
the AEfl2. Zhere is no practical reason to continue monitoring at Porn 12-
11 as no mine related impacts can reasonably be expected to occur at this
site.
P 13-22: Pond 13-2 lies outside and downstream of the subsidence zone. No retreat
mining has occurred within the watershed contributing to this pord to date
aryl mining activity in the contributing area has been idled since 1982.
`The pond was observed in June (1/2 full), July (1/3 full), and August (1/4
full) 1992 and fourri partially full with no dischazge oaurring. No water
quality samples were obtained. A sufficient database exists to
characterize water quality at this site. Available water quality
]reformation for this pond has all been collected subsequent to mining in
this area. No further monitoring was conducted during 1992 as it was
presumed the pond remained below discharge levels throughout the remainder
of the year.
P 13-4~: Pond 13-4 lies outside and upstream of the subsidence zone. No mining has
occurred within the watershed area contributing to this pond and none is
3
