BMG committed to development of remed al plan. <br />August Progress: - BMRI submitted the study report "Modifications to <br />Existing Ground Water Monitoring System" c mpleted <br />by Halapaska & Assocs on August 7, 1992. <br />- The Division forwarded technical adequacy omments <br />concerning dispersion modeling and water q ality <br />analytical data to BMRI on August 18, 1992. <br />- The Division received and forwarded techni al <br />adequacy comments from Scott Mefford, on b half of <br />the parties on August 21, 1992. <br />(1) Modification of Ore Processing Methodology: <br />Status: BMG submitted a written commitment to comply in a lett r of <br />April 16, 1992. BMG committed to the completion of th <br />requested investigations, the development of an approp fate <br />detoxification procedure, and the submission of a summ ry report. <br />(8) Modification of Tailings Area Reclamation Plan: <br />Status: BMG submitted a written commitment to comply in a Lett r of <br />April 16, 1992. BMG committed to the completion of th <br />requested investigations, the submittal of a comprehen ive <br />report, and the submission of appropriate permit modifications, <br />if necessitated. The Division originally specified su mittal <br />within 90 days following detoxification, however, 8MG as <br />demonstrated that 160 days will be required to complet the <br />requested evaluation. <br />Note: Staff prepared a briefing memorandum addressing the qu~stion <br />of Long-Term Tailings Detoxification at the request of Board. <br />
