Unce mine water discharge is transported over the Deer Trail Ditch and the Fire
z~(oun[a{n Canal, what will be the effect of the water qucrntiry crud quality on
downstream users ? Please add this discussion to the probable hydrologic
consequences section, per Rule 2.0~.6(3)(b)(iii). Inclzzde in this discussion
whether this discharge can possibly adversely affect the North Fork of the
Gunnison Alluvial Palley Floor or any prime farmland. If structures will be
added to pipe the mine water discharge into the North Fork of the Gunnison,
please add this discussion to the permit, along with pertinent designs. /f anv
such structures are built that go beyond the current permit boundary, then, a
revised permit boundary that includes these structures, and appropriate right-of-
entry information for Chat new permit land, need to be supplied.
9d. On proposed revised page 2.04-35, it is stated that sediment loading would 6e the
only impact of the mine on surface water. /n light of the statement concerning
mine water discharge, please modify the statement on page 2.04-3.i to include
mine water discharge.
10. On proposed revised page 2.O.i-84, it is stated that the submittal date for the Annual
Hydrologic Report will be on or before May 30 ojeach year. However, the approved
submittal date is March 30, as stated on page 2.0~-78 of the permit application. Please
justify this change in the submittal dote.
The Division has no further concerns. The operator requested that the Annual Hydrologic
Report be submitted at the same time as the Annual Subsidence Report. April 30 is
satisfactory to the Division.
1 1. On proposed revised page 2.O.i-99, it is stated that the results of the subsidence-related
hydrologic and visunl monitoring will be submitted by the end of each May. However,
permit application page 2.O.i-92 states that the submittal date will be the end of each
.9pril. Please jzzstify this change in [he szbmittal date.
The Division has no further concerns. The operator revised page 2.05-99 to state that the
Annual Subsidence Report will be submitted by April 30.
4
