the operator will install wildlife friendly fencing as listed above and will not use woven wire. <br />The following letter from the Division of Wildlife dated 3une 2, 2003 provides comments on the <br />amendment application. The DOW states that it does not appear moving the mining area closer to <br />the Gurley Ditch and the south and west boundaries will significantly increase any negative <br />impacts the mining operation is having on wildlife in the azea. The DOW suggests a 50-foot' <br />buffer zone be placed around any lazge cottonwood trees within the mined area to prevent root <br />damage. Also, the DOW recommends that shrub species be added to areas not conducive to <br />irrigation. <br />To the extent possible the Operator will provide a 50-foot buffer zone azound any lazge <br />cottonwood trees within the mined azea to prevent root damage. <br />Two shrub species were added to the seed mix for the pit slopes. See Exhibit E. <br />H-2 <br />
