The annual projected water usage for the project are as follows:
Development 0.00 acre feet
Mining (Access Road Dust Suppression) 1.47 acre feet
Reclamation (irrigation) 2.00 acre feet
Washing_Operation 20,000 tons with a 4% increase in moisture 0.60 acre feet
Total 4.07 acre feet
The above quantities consider the application of water to the surface of the haul road in the
amount of 3,000 gallons per day for 160 days each year. The reclamation rate of approximately 2
acres per yeaz will consume approximately 2 acre feet of water per year in order to successfully
establish a self sustaining vegetation base on the reclaimed acreage of the current yeaz, according
to Mr. Wayne Cooley of the CSU extension service. Previously established reclamation
vegetation will not be further irrigated. This estimate is based on "creased" irrigation practices
achieving an efficiency of 50 percent in order to provide water 3 times during the months of -
September and early October.
G-2
