~~
• EXHIBIT E
RECLAMATION PLAN

Reclamation of areas recently mined is occurring
contemporaneously with the mining operation. A sub-
stantial area on the eastern and southeastern portion of
the mine has been backfilled and graded. During 1984
the five+ acres backfilled and regraded will be topsoiled
and seeded. Topsoil spread should average 6-8 inches
in depth. The area outlined as Area B will be backfilled
and graded during the year. Regrading will create
slopes of approximately 3:1 throughout the area. It is
• anticipated that the areas of moderate and major disturb-
ance will remain substantially the same throughout the
mining process. It is expected that there will be some
increase in the size of area in the minor disturbance
category.
As mining progresses by phases throughout the area
covered by the present application, topsoil to a depth
of approximately 8" will be removed and stockpiled along
the north boundary of the property. Should the topsoil
remain in storage for more than one growing season, a
quick-growing cover crop will be planted to minimize
erosion. Once the actual mining has occurred in an area
it will be backfilled, regraded to a slope of approximately
• 3:1.
