• Bluetop Paving has a batch plant and field office
trailer located on a part of the original 6.31 acre
permit area. Bluetop is a completely separate entity
from Bettger Sand and Gravel and merely purchases
material from the applicant for making their asphalt
products. It is anticipated that the Bluetop plant will
remain on location throughout the life of the sand and
gravel operation. This type of operation has been on
location since the time of original permitting through
the State.
All other equipment on the site such as bulldozers,
loaders, crushers, and screening plants are operated by
• Bettger Sand and Gravel.
It is anticipated that approximately one acre per
year will be mined through the life of the pit covered
in this application. Based on this assumption, Phase I
will occur in one year while Phase V will take about
three years to mine. Considering the entire permit
area, major and moderate disturbance will remain at 4.0
acres ± for major and 6.31 acres ± for moderate disturb-
ance. The area of minor disturbance will increase from
the present permit of 2-3 acres to 5.5 acres for a
short period of time as reclamation is completed on the
"regraded area" and Area B.
•
