~i
As previously mentioned, a typical final topography cross-section
should be developed for inclusion in this application. Also, a rel
will be required as stated in stipulation No. 1. Upon proper de{
other land uses that would require alternate reclamation treatmen
may release various portions of the quarry for such uses.
~d plan view
ered survey
~strations of
the Division
Agreed. Typicals will be provided at the time of the revised survey aced map.
Unless roads are an integral part of the post-mining land use and are requested to
be kept by the landowner, all roads that have been in support o the mining
operation shall be considered affected land and properly reclaimed.
The landowner will identify all roads to be reclaimed or left unreclai ed to serve
future end-uses, at the time of the submittal of the survey based map. For
purposes of initial financial warranty considerations, approximately 50% of the
roads should be considered suitable for retention to serve the futur use of the
site. The remainder will be reclaimed until otherwise described i the future
Technical Revision.
As was previously discussed, a maximum disturbed acreage, which includes all
lands currently used in the mining process, plus lands that have bee affected an
reclaimed in support of mining, will need to be determined for use i calculating
a reclamation bond. This maximum disturbance will then migrate ac ss the total
area permitted for disturbance, simultaneously releasing reclaime areas and
adding ne~v disturbance, not to exceed the maximum bonded area.
Please consider the use of 25 acres maximum disturbance, anti otherwise
determined during the forthcoming Technical Revision at whi h time all
disturbed land will be revisited for reclamation, acreage, and deter ination of
mining and reclamation.
EXHIBIT I -SOILS INFORMATION
A legend identifying the various soil units and/or complexes should a added to
the Exhibit I map.
The Soil Units are defined under the Exhibit I -Soils lnforma t on Text -
Addendum. The Units will be shown on a Legend on revised maps rovided at
the time of the Technical Revision of survey based maps.
Correspondence of Monday 18 May l~J'7 to "Cony Wa{dron, Colorado fJSvision of M erals ac
Geology from Bradford Janes, for Doug Bachli, Rocky Road Quarry, DMG Permit 85-210.
6
