If any subsurface cultural resources are unearthed during operations, <br />activity in the vicinity of the cultural resource shall cease and a <br />BLM represer~tatiue will be notified immediately. <br />3. All trees and brush shall be removed by surface scraping and windrowed <br />at an appropriate location next to the pit area. <br />~ ~ 4. Any highwalls that are created during operations shall be <br />reduced to a slope of no greater that 2:1 when the pit area will be <br />left unattended. Gravel removal will always be conducted in a manner <br />that worKs toward the final 3:1 slope required in the Colorado Mined <br />Land Reclamation permit. <br />1 <br />8. <br />The permittee shall protect all survey monuments, witness corners, <br />reference monuments, and bearing trees within and adjacent to the <br />permit area against disturbance during the process of preparation, <br />mining ar~d reclamation within the permit area. If any monuments, <br />corners, or accessories are destroyed, obliterated, or damaged during <br />operations, the permittee shall secure the services of a Registered <br />Land Surveyor to restore the disturbed monuments, corners, or <br />accessories, at the same location, using surveying procedures found in <br />the Maaual_D£_$uL12PX1IIL~_1D$fLLL~1nn5_fnL_~hP_$LLSLE~[_Of_fhE_PLb11L_ <br />LandSSOf_the:_l.Initad_Stafes. The permittee shall ensure that the <br />Registered Land Surveyor properly records the survey in compliance <br />with Colorado Revised Statutes 38-53-101 through 38-53-112 (1973) and <br />shall send a copy to the Authorized Officer. -: <br />The permittee shall submit a semiannual report to the Authorized <br />Officer identifying the amount of gravel produced during the previous <br />six C6) month period. <br />
