Any highwalls that are created during operations shall be reduced to a slope of no greater that 2:1 when the pit area will be left unattended. Gravel removal will always be conducted in a manner that worKs toward the final 3:1 slope required in the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation permit. 1 8. The permittee shall protect all survey monuments, witness corners, reference monuments, and bearing trees within and adjacent to the permit area against disturbance during the process of preparation, mining ar~d reclamation within the permit area. If any monuments, corners, or accessories are destroyed, obliterated, or damaged during operations, the permittee shall secure the services of a Registered Land Surveyor to restore the disturbed monuments, corners, or accessories, at the same location, using surveying procedures found in the Maaual_D£_$uL12PX1IIL~_1D$fLLL~1nn5_fnL_~hP_$LLSLE~[_Of_fhE_PLb11L_ LandSSOf_the:_l.Initad_Stafes. The permittee shall ensure that the Registered Land Surveyor properly records the survey in compliance with Colorado Revised Statutes 38-53-101 through 38-53-112 (1973) and shall send a copy to the Authorized Officer. -: The permittee shall submit a semiannual report to the Authorized Officer identifying the amount of gravel produced during the previous six C6) month period.
