<br />EXHIBIT D <br />Soils and Veqetation <br />Soils are that of the Pierian Series. Very shallow <br />to shallow over stones, boulders, and cobbles. Slopes range <br />from 3 to 25 percent. The elevation ranges from 8,200 to <br />9,600 feet. The surface layer is dark brown gravelly, sandy <br />loam about 5 inches thick. The under lying layer is dark-brown, <br />gravelly, sandy loam about 4 inches thick. Boulders, stones, <br />cobbles, gravel and sand are present from a depth of 9 inches <br />to a depth of 60 inches or more. The dominant plant species <br />at the mill site and pit site is large sagebrush covering <br />approximately 258 at the mill site and 158 at the pit site. <br />Grasses are present at both locations, but very dispersed. <br />Those include Arizonias fescue, mountain muhly and wheat grasses. <br />
