,~
~.
' Phase I (earthmoving operations) of the reclamation plan
~ will commence as soon as practicable
(with respect to
~• season of year, weather, and equipment availability)
after the operator has determined mining operations on a
particular site have ceased. Maximum slopes in the area
• will be compatible with the surrounding terrain (40-100%
slopes) but will not be so steep as to cause erosional
problems that will hamper revegetation operations. In
Zone 2 where stepped benches will occur, the slopes from
bench to bench will in no case be greater than 1 1/2: 1

(horizontal to vertical ratio). No ponding will occur
nor is any planned.
C2 Water
Present and future mining operations are not expected to
directly affect ground water systems. Surface water
•
; runoff will be controlled as outlined in Exhibit G,"Water".
C3 Wildlife
Very little disturbance to wildlife is expected to result
from mining operations. Noise and activity may cause some
displacement of deer and other larger mammals. Disturbed
land will result in loss of habitat until completion of
reclamation operations. There are no endangered or
• critical species in the area nor is the area a critical
seasons] habitat for any species (see Exhibit H, Wildlife).
The reclamation plan is aimed at rehabilitating the
surface to 'protect and enhance the area for wildlife
habitat for game and non-game species as well as some
•
'
..~
- E 4
