aquifers are monitored for water level, field pazameters and major cations
and anions on a quarterly basis except for the winter quarter. Alluvial
wells in the Kerr Mine area are measured on a monthly basis during March
through October, while at the Loadout they are measured weekly during
March through June and monthly during July through October. In
addition, trace metal analyses are performed on alluvial well samples
during the spring and fall and on an annual basis for bedrock samples. in
the future, three additional wells will be installed in the pits as they are
backfilled to monitor the establishment of a spoils aquifer.
~Well~'aters. A full water quality suite (metals)
is performed on a semi-annual basis. Pond staff gauges aze read for water
and sediment levels semi-annually. Sediment pond discharge monitoring
is conducted as per the NPD$S permit on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly
basis as specified. Reporting is on a quazterly basis. All sediment ponds
are inspected, and a report submitted, quarterly. The monitoring schedule
can be found in the application as Table 61, Volume 3.
B.
