2.05.3(3)
K. Mine Office

This building houses the mine office and
is of wood frame construction on a concrete basement foundation.
L. ShOp9 and Warehouse
The shop and warehouse is a steel frame
building on a concrete slab. It houses the surface maintenance
and repair activities associated with operation of the under-
ground mine. The warehouse is used for receiving, storage and
issuing of materials and supplies used in the operation of the
mine.
M. B-Seam Portal
The B-Seam portal was the main portal
access for men, materials, supplies and coal transportation out
of the mine. The portal was sealed in 1986 after equipment was
removed from the mine.
N. Dump Station and Scales
The dump station is a concrete structure
with a rock bin, coal bin, structural steel cover, concrete truck
ramp and the rock bin, and belt conveyor from the coal bin. This
dump station receives the mined coal and passes it to the tipple.
In early 1990 a truck scale was added on the east side of this
facility. The truck scale is a Cardinal, 10-foot X 60-foot,
platform scale with a 60 ton capacity. During 1991 the dump
station was revised to allow trucks to drive "through" the struc-
ture in a east to west direction. This provides for an efficient
haul cycle because the trucks can run on the scale to be weighed
then proceed directly through the dump station where the coal is
unloaded.
O. Tinyle
The tipple is a steel structure on a
concrete foundation which receives the raw coal from the dump
station via a conveyor belt for transportation to the coal silo.
Associated with the tipple is a fenced transformer station and a
wood frame control building.
P. Coal Storage Silo
The coal storage silo is a concrete
cylindrical structure on a concrete foundation. This silo re-
ceives raw coal from the tipple via a conveyor belt, and accumu-
lates this coal for unit train loading on a daily basis.
2.05 - 7
Rev. 3:8-08-91
