<br />2.05.3 <br />(3) Mine Facilities <br />~~ <br />(a) The location and use of the existing structures <br />within the mine permit area are shown on maps described in <br />2.05.3(3)Ib). The removal of the mine facilities will be accom- <br />plished in accord with the reclamation plan as described in <br />section 2.05.4. <br />(b) (i) The disturbed areas and the mine facilities <br />within these disturbed areas are described as follows: All mine <br />facilities associated with the Somerset Mine were installed prior <br />to 1977 except as noted in the descriptions. Facilities associ- <br />ated with the Sanborn Creek Mine will be installed at a future <br />date. <br />Elk Creek Area - See Drawings E-3207R and E-3208R. <br />A. Elk Creek Substation <br />The Elk Creek substation is the source <br />of electric power for operation of that portion of the Somerset <br />Mine facilities located in the Elk Creek area. This substation <br />receives power from Bear Creek via a pole transmission line con- <br />necting the two locations. The substation consists of a control <br />building, steel supporting structure, and concrete foundation and <br />protective fence. <br />B. B-Seam Mine Ventilating Fan Station <br />This fan station was demolished in 1986. <br />D. C-Seam Mine Main Portal <br />The main portal was the primar.v access <br />to the C-Seam Mine.
