With the exception of GVB-LW-06, all construction will be on Oxbow fee lands,
Hotchkiss fee lands or lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM).
GVB-LW-06 is located on the reclaimed former ECM-03-11 site (located on OMLLC
property) but accessed via the reclaimed road previously accessed across USFS managed
surface.
An updated access agreement with Hotchkiss Ranches, dated July 7, 2005, is also
included herein for the Division's consideration.
The sites will be accessed via the pre-existing Bear Creek ranch road. New road
segment will be constructed using sidecast construction techniques, cutting and filling as
needed to achieve a typical road width of about 10 - 14 feet.
The pads will be approximately 80 feet wide and 130 feet long or 0.24 acres. Any
salvaged topsoil will be stockpiled adjacent to the pad. Drill fluids will be collected in
mud pits. (Approximately, 8'D x 10'W x 40'L in size)
After the borehole casing has been completely set, a skid mounted methane pump will be
installed over the well head. The pump will be operated with the methane drawn from
the mine, and any excess gas will be vented into the atmosphere.
