Because of this
concern, MSHA is mandating the installation of gob vent boreholes to vent methane from
subsided long wall panel areas (gob). OMLLC anticipates the MSHA concerns will
dictate an ongoing program [o install such boreholes into each successive panel of the Elk
Creek mine.
OMLLC has previously permitted an initial programs (TR-46 and 48) of five gob vent
boreholes. The subject of this TR is to install fifteen(15) additional boreholes and
associated light use roads. The proposed program is summarized by the following:
GVB De th Surface Owner Road Len th Road Owner
LW6-O1 1440 OMLLC 3558 BLM/ USFS
(reclaimed for
ECM-03-O11)
_
LW6-02 16]5 BLM 1670 BLM
LWS-Ol 1300 BLM 2396 BLM (in place for

LWS-02
--
LW6-03
1385

1250 ____
BLiVI

OML,LC _____
349

1142 ECM-03-1~) _ _
BLIvV OMLLC_ _~
---
OMLLC
L~6'9-04 1370 ~ BLM ~ 3576 from ~ BLM
~
_
LWIO-04 - 1 ~~__ ~
1450 - -~
BL1~1 beginning_---
1626 ~
L------- -
BLM ~i
