5.1.1 Diversion into the process water system. Diversions of storm
water into the process water system must be approved by the
Owner.
5.1.2 Treatment for removal of sediment by passage through silt fencing,
a temporary detention pond, or other Best Management Practice
methods proposed by the Contractor, or listed in the Henderson
Storm Water Management Plan.
5.2 All liquid storage containers and bulk storage sites for fuel and lubricants
shall include lined spill containment berms or pans for collecting and
containing one hundred and ten percent (110°!0) of the container volume.
6 DESIGNATED WETLAND PROTECTION
6.7 All wetlands located along the construction corridor are shown on Drawing
No. 5-1-1004. These wetlands will be field marked by the Owner prior to
commencement of construction. It will be the responsibility of the
Contractor to avoid impacting these areas, or limit the impact to that
shown on the Drawings. Exempt from these requirements are those
wetland areas located below the ultimate tailing level (elevation 8900'1.
6.2 Silt fencing shall be installed by the Contractor around wetland areas
within the construction corridor where construction activity could impact
the wetland area. The fencing shall completely encircle isolated wetlands.
In areas where the construction corridor crosses a continuous wetland,
fencing shall be installed along the sides of the wetland for a distance
adequate to protect the wetland from construction impacts.
6.3 Wetland areas that must be temporarily impacted for performance of the
Work must be approved by the Engineer. The sod mat, along with the
upper 2 feet of soil shall be stripped from these areas, stockpiled, and
replaced after the Work in the area is completed.
7 FUGITIVE DUST CONTROL
7.1 PERFORMANCE
7.1.1 The Contractor shall employ all reasonable measures to control
Fugitive Dust resulting from the project construction.
7.1.2 Fugitive dust control shall include emission control measures
designed to minimize emissions of fugitive dust from process
equipment transfer points and from mobile equipment travel
incidental to construction. Only clean raw or potable water may
be used for dust control. Process water may not be used.
SPEC G -ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROLS
PAGE 3
