OFFICE <br />801 North Broadway Durango Fleki ONlee <br />Cortez, CO 81321 Division of fvllnerals 8 Geology <br />RE: Damage Reimbursement Assurance for Montezuma County's Mancos Pit operations <br />Dear Chuck Rodstrom <br />Empire Electric Association, Inc., <br />As you are awaze, Montezuma County is proposing to expand its gravel pit boundary. As <br />required by the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Act, we are notifying all owners of <br />permanent man-made structures within 200 feet of mining operations. In this case it appears <br />there is an electric power line in the southeastern quarter of the Mancos Pit that belongs to <br />Empire Electric Association, Inc.. To assist you in locating the power line 1 have enclosed a <br />copy of the survey map. <br />in the event that any damages occur to the portion of the power line in the Mancos Gravel Pit, <br />due to Montezuma County's mining operations, Montezuma County is liable and agrees to pay <br />for the repair of [he power line. <br />This agreement establishes Montezuma County's liability, as written above, and holds them <br />responsible for preventing damage to the power line (where they are within 200' of the mining <br />operation). By signing in the space provided below, your consent to this agreement will be <br />acknowledged.
