RECLAMATION PLAN
Overview

EXHIBIT E
Intensive reclamation efforts are now successfully underway inn
previously mined areas of the Morrison quarry. Future reclamation
of the quarry expansion will 6e geared to mirror the success achieved
to date. The objectives of the proposed reclamation plan are to stabi-
lize the mined land and to restore the area to a state which approxi-
mates or betters its condition prior to disturbance of the area. The
operator intends to reclaim the site as open space which will provide
wildlife habitat. Of the 98 acres of land that will be affected by
expansion of the Morrison quarry, roughly 3 acres will be reclaimed
as a pond and approximately 25 acres will remain as steep sub-vertical,
benches of exposed rock. The remainder of the land will be recontoured
and revegetated with species well-adapted to the characteristics of the
site.
The plan for creation of open space and wildlife habitat is appro-
priate within the context of the surrounding land uses and is compatible
with applicable Jefferson County zoning.
Site Condition Followino Mini
Mining of the quarry will be accomplished by drilling and blasting
on 40-foot tiers. Following mining, the land at the quarry will have
been shaped into a pit surrounded on three sides by a series of 80-foot
high sub-vertical rock walls which will rise upward and outward in step-
3~
wise fashion from an elevation of roughly 6415 feet above sea level to
An~n~rlr8.
E-1 Tt~CT ol= P,T{~oJ~p R~Lc..A-
MATION PLAN ~EK•E~ ~
AME.1J~.~1 ~14~4~(Nrn-es)
