5.2.1.5 Shed #150 Storage (Conveyor Lube House) <br />• Shed #ISO u currently empty (May 2004); however, if the mine returns to operation, this area <br />will once again be used for oil storage. <br />Chemicals: Turbine oii, various AMOCO oils, various greases. <br />Description: Petroleum based oils and greases used for conveyor lubrication. <br />Location: North of No. 3 Mill, adjacent to and west of the Storke fine ore bin. <br />Spill Potential: Low. <br />Potential Volume Spilled: One or two 55-gallon drums. <br />Prevention and Control: Operator caze when moving drums is the best prevention of a spill, <br />Countermeasures: Viscous greases can be cleaned up with floor dry and a shovel. Non-viscous <br />(runny) greases and oils may have to be diked with sorbent booms or pillows. Soiled booms or <br />pillows should be disposed of in Climax' landfill with the approval of the Environmental <br />Department. <br />• Nearest Clean-up Equipment: Spill kits aze located in the Moly Wazehouse. <br />Visual Inspections and Integrity Testing: Shed #150 is checked weekly during mill <br />operations; inspected monthly when the mill is shut down. <br />Reporting: All spills greater than 5 gallons should be documented on the "Spill Incident <br />Report" form immediately (Appendix 1), and given to the Environmental Department. <br />Conformance with Applicable Requirements: Since all tanks are empty and not in use [at the <br />time of this writing (May 2004)] the facility is in conformance with applicable regulatory <br />requirements. <br />31 <br />
