Five years ago my wife and I moved our family
back to Grand Junction because of the quality of life. I still
spend time in Washington and Alaska with my business. Theory is
that my wife and children can still enjoy the quality of life
here.
We bought a house at 323 31 3/4 Road with extra acreage and barns
so that we could enjoy a country setting and for my wifes horse
business. The Parkerson Construction Company gravel operation
has negatively impacted both our quality of life and the horse
business. Parkerson trucks routinely violate traffic laws by
speeding and running stop signs. The gravel pit is noisy and
consistently excessively dusty.
In my opinion, Parkerson has already shown a wonton disregard for
our once rural environment. If they are allowed to expand, our
neighborhood will deteriorate even further. I am adamantly
opposed to this entire oepration as it is now operated.
Sincerely,
~~ ~~-t
Walter Raber
F/V Airedale • F/V Providence • F/V Harry B F/V Trident
