• E3iHIB1•E (Cont'd)
Reclamation Standards. Grading will create a topography
appropriate to the final land use. Backfilling into the lakes
will create irregular shorelines with good stability (see map
Exhibit F). As shown on map Exhibit F, sloped areas will be
regraded to 3 to 1 from five feet above the water line to ten
feet below the water line. Other slopes will be regraded to
2 to 1 as required. This open pit operation has no drill holes
or auger holes remaining and has no addits or shafts.
• , There are to be no earth dams.
No toxic or acid-forming material will be encountered or
used is the operation.
All refuse will be disposed of by either hauling it away
or by properly burying it in the backfill areas so that
unsightliness and deleterious effects will be controlled.
In those areas where revegetation is part of the reclama-
tion plan, land will be revegetated in such a way as to
establish a diverse, effective, and long-lasting vegetative
cover capable of self-regeneration and at least equal in
extent of cover to the natural vegetation of the surrounding
area. Refer to the Revegetation Program later in this
Exhibit E for details.
• Overburden and soil removal and storage are discussed in
Exhibit D. The non-soil overburden stored for each stage of
mining will be returned to the mined area when the reclamation
phase starts. It will be used as backfill and slope fill
material. Soils will be used to cover areas to be revegetated
to a depth of at least G inches.
