The only <br />change will be the addil-ion of 5,79 acres, varying in width from 50' <br />to 100', to the Stage II excavation, and 1.G9 acres, witi.ch i.s a strip <br />7Bt in width to the Stage III excavation. 13acksloping, topsoiling and <br />revegetation plans remain the same. <br />As stated elsewhere in this application, VALCO lras been successful 1n <br />negotiations for purchase of the land between Stages III & IV as well <br />• as the purchase of in excess of. 100 contiguous acres nurtlr of the <br />Arkansas River. Upon completion of a quiet Title suit to clear rrp some <br />boundary discrepancies, a second amendment toill be filed to this plan <br />adding these acreages. Tttat will alter the originally presented <br />"Estimated Reclamation Timetable". As of this date, SL•ages 0 iY I have <br />been reclaimed. Stage II and Stage IIi, Part 1 should be reclaimed by <br />the end of 1990. The second amendment will prepare a timetable for tl~e <br />changed mining and reclamation plan encompassing rite additional acreage. <br />The 13 A lrtdustrial area is being included at the requcnst: of. staff. The <br />applicant Itas developed this as an industrial site, and it is the <br />intention that it will remain an industrial site afCer mining has depleted <br />the reserves in rite area.
