Long <br />Drv~sion Direuor <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section 116, Paragraph <br />4, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on March 3, 1998, an application to revise coal minin¢ operations at the Coal Ridge <br />No. 1 Mine was considered complete for the purposes of filing. The revision was submitted by NCiG Financial, Inc.. All <br />review and comment periods as provided in the Acl and the Regulations initiate from this date of filing. <br />Stipulation #27 of the permit required that the vegetation success standards for the Coal Ridge No. I Mine be clarified. The <br />revision also intends to eliminate the woody stem density standards completely and change the species diversity standard. <br />The underground coal mining operation is on land located approximately 7 miles west of Glenwood Springs, Colorado. The <br />permit area is further described as follows: <br />T65, R91 W; Portions of Sections I and 12 <br />T65, R90W; Portions of Sections 5, 6.7.8, 9, IS and 16 <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle maps of Storn King Mountain and New Castle <br />A copy of the technical revision application is available for public inspection al the Ga~eld County Courthouse, 109 8th St <br />Ste 200, Glenwood Springs, CO 81601, and at the Division office.
