(i) The various stages or phases of the operation will be dictated by market
demand. Reclamation will be completed within 5 years after mining is completed
(ii) It is estimated that the size of the excavated area will be between 15 and 20
acres at any given time, and that approximately 5-10 acres will be devoted to product
stockpile, topsoil stockpile, and all the related processing equipment, which may
include portable crushing and screening plant, hot mix plant, and concrete plants.
(iii) Sequencing the events of the mining operation are as the market demands,
and it is not feasible to predict with any accuracy at this time, however, it is estimated
that this pit contains approximately 10 years reserves.
(f) The Mining Plan Map, along with the Vegetation and Soils Map will show in more
detail the topography and the gravel deposits. This is an alluvial gravel deposit of
unknown depth with a shallow topsoil layer. No overburden will be removed to mine
the deposit.
(g) Sand and gravel are the main commodities to be mined and there are no other
commodities to be mined.
(h) All products for this mine site will be used for construction materials as defined by
the DMG, as follows: "Construction Materials" means rock, clay, silt, sand, gravel,
limestone, dimension stone, marble or shale extracted for use in the production of
non-metallic construction products.
