II. DESCRIPTION OF UNDERTAHING /PROJECT
10. Type of Undertaking: Three exploratory drill holes, two ventilation shaft locations, and associated
access road upgrades for expansion of West Ells Mine
11. Size of Undertaking (acres): ca. 10.7 Size of Project (if different): 28
12. Nature of Anticipated Disturbance: drill sites will involve less than 1 acre each of surface disturbance
for exploratory drill holes plus construction or upgrading of approximately 3100 feet of temporary
access; ventilation shafts will involve ca. 2 acre surface disturbance areas for drilling shafts and
_ constructing facilities, and about 3300 feet of permanent access upgrade
13. Comments: the eastward leg (ca. 1200 feet) of access for the ventilation shags, and almost all of the
temporary access for drill site FF will be new road; the rema;ning acce55 improvements will be
upgrading of existing vehicle hails; FF and access, HH and access, ca. 200 feet of access for II, and
2600 feet of access upgrade for the ventilation shafts are private surface (14.6 acres of survey) -the
