Exhibit E - Reclamation Plan
The affected area will be stabilized and reclaimed to rangeland
following cor~letion of mining. The elenents of the reclamation plan are
given below.
Site Clean Up
Any debris and trash rsnaining on site will be cleaned up and hauled
to the public landfill.
Backfillina and Grading
The major portion of the final configuration of the disturbed area
h~
5~°~ will be created during mining. Areas of the hill that are daylighted will
4~
have a nearly level to slightly sloping surface and require only minimal
smooth grading. The uppermost portion of the area will have a cut slope
created. This slope will be rough graded to achieve 4:1 slopes. Rough
grading will develop pockets to trap moisture and seed, and help retard
runoff. The floor of the pit will have a nearly level to slightly sloping
surface and the final configuration will be created during mining. The
Exhibit F map included herein illustrates the anticipated final topography
of the site.
Runoff Diversions
Except for a small section of the permit boundary that parallels
Ranger Road on the extreme south side of the site, the permit area lies at
~' the absolute head of the local drainage divide. Consequently, there is no
need to create any permanent ditches or berms to intercept and divert
upland runoff. Runoff on the section adjacent to Ranger Road is
intercepted and diverted by existing ditches along the roadway.
-8-
