BATTLE MOUNTAIN RESOURCES Page I-5 <br />San Luis Projecl Technical SpeciOcations <br />impoundment will be accomplished in an incremental fashion as water within the facility is <br />evaporated and seepage [o the collection pond diminishes. <br />The Contractor shall submit the work schedule within ten days following the "Notice to <br />Proceed". The schedule must cleazly identify the critical path of activities necessary to complete <br />the designated work. The schedule submitted shall be in accordance with the actual calendar <br />days on which actual work will be performed. The schedule shall be detailed to id~antify all work <br />activities, critical milestones, and float times. At a minimum, all activities addressed by the <br />Specifications shall by incorporated into the schedule. The schedule shall become part of the <br />contract documents. <br />1.5 Site Security <br />The Contractor shall take all action necessary to preserve and protect the work and all of its <br />materials and equipment from damage, loss, destruction or theft, resulting from any cause <br />whatsoever. Until such time as the Contractor completes all of the work and Owner accepts <br />certification of completion of the work or takes possession of the work, the Contractor shall have <br />the sole risk of (and shall beaz [he sole cost and expense of rectifying) any loss, danlage, <br />destruction or theft of such work, materials or equipment arising from any cause. The Contractor <br />shall ensure that its activities do not cause any damage to adjoining properties. <br />1.6 Health and Safety <br />The Contractor shall ensure that it, its subcontractors and suppliers and their respective <br />employees, agents and invitees comply with all applicable governmental laws, rulers, regulations, <br />orders and directives concerning health and safety. <br />The Contractor shall take all responsible measures to prevent injury to all persons and property <br />as a result of performance of the work, including without limitation the furnishing, at the <br />Contractor's expense, of fences, flagmen, warning signs and barricades and the elimination of <br />excessive dust and smoke emissions. <br />The Contractor shall develop, submit and maintain for the duration of the work, a safety <br />program that will effectively incorporate and implement all required safety pro~~isions.
