Type 8 material shall consist of hard, durable rock <br />fragments obtained on site or imported. Type 8 material shall meet the following gradation <br />requirements: <br />ROCK PARTICLE <br />SIZE (INCHES) % PASSING <br />BY WEIGHT <br />4 100 <br />2 90 - 75 <br />1 70 - 35 <br />0.5 45 - I S <br />0.2 < 15 <br />6.10 Material Type 9 - Riprap <br />v lL <br />The Contractor shall famish, transport and place Type 9 material as set forth in the <br />Specifications, the Drawings or as directed by the Designer. <br />Type 9 material shall be used as erosion protection of the dischazge channel downstream of the <br />tailings impoundment spillway and discharge pond impoundment and downstre~n of the flared <br />section at the West Pit Culvert. Type 9 material shall consist of hazd durable rock fragments <br />obtained on site or imported.
