BATTLE MOUNTAIN RESOURCES Page 2-? <br />San Luis Project Ti chnical Specifications <br />2.5 Number ofConstructioo Documents Furnished <br />A. The Owner will furnish the Contractor with approximately Frve (51 complete sets <br />of Drawings and Specifications at no charge. <br />B. The Owner will famish the Contractor with approximately Five (5) sets of <br />explanatory or change Drawings at no charge. <br />C. Additionally, the Owner is committed to cooperate with the Contractor to assure <br />that an adequate supply of documents necessary for execution and completion of <br />the work, considering the size and nature of contract, are furnished without <br />charge. <br />2.6 Pre-Construction Conference <br />A. Apre-construction conference will be held at the job site prior tc• beginning of <br />construction. The date, time, and exact place of this meeting will be determined <br />after contract awazd and all interested parties will be notified. The Contractor <br />shall arrange to have the job superintendent and any prime subconh~actors present <br />at the meeting. During the pre-construction conference, the construction <br />procedures and information necessary For submitting payment requests will be <br />discussed and materials distributed, along with any pertinent information. <br />2.7 Excavations <br />A. Foundation stripping operations adjacent or below the tailings embankment must <br />be carefully observed to prevent removal of material which may compromise the <br />integrity of the structure. The spillway will require excavations through rough <br />terrain and realignment of the spillway may be necessary to access the desired <br />natural drainage channel. The channel depth and required channel protection shall <br />conform to the channel slope ranges shown in the Drawings. If the channel <br />alignment deviates from the design alignment or if the channel slopes deviate <br />from ranges specified on the Drawings, approval from the Designer is required <br />prior to relocation. <br />$.
