R
MCC anticipates that at each site, reclamation will begin when the hole is completed and access roads are
no longer needed. The scheduling of field operations can not be more precise at this time, due to factors
beyond our control (weather, permitting delays, etc.) which necessitate field scheduling modifications.
Typically, drill hole plugging is completed the same day as T.D. is reached and reclamation of the drill site
and access roads completed within the following few days.
Item 9 - No question provided.
Item 10 - Locally, where new road construction is required, MCC plans to windrow or stockpile topsoil
adjacently upslope to the disturbance. The relocation distance of the topsoil will be kept to a minimum to
avoid the mixing with subsoil or introduction into adjacent undisturbed areas. At [he drill site (reference
page C-3), "topsoil will be stockpiled on the upslope side of the drill pad".
As stated on page C-3, "the topsoil pile will not be seeded due to the shot, duration of stcrage'". Typically,
topsoil is stored for less than two weeks before redistribution. Topsoil stockpiled at the drill site will be
identified with a sign in accordance with Rule 4.02.7.
Item 11 - On page C-7 the Minor Revision document states, "after seeding, cleared brush will be
redistributed over the drill pad area to act as a natural mulch". This procedure also applies to brush
cleared from along the access routes.
Item 12 - MCC will plug holes in accordance with Rule 4.07.3. These methods are described under Drill
Hole Abandonment Methods on page C-4.
Item 13 - From our experience, MCC believes the Division's reclamation bond estimate of $11,070 to be
excessive, but, for the sake of timeliness, will accept and deduct this amount from MCC's current bond
surplus.
Sincerely,
~~. ~,,.
