BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
San Juan County
P.O. BoN 46ti Silverton, ColoraUO 81433 970-387.5671
February 26, 2003
Larry Perino -Reclamation Manager
Sunnyside Gold Corporation
Ref: Reclamation Permit M-1477-378
Dear Mc Perino,
RECErvE~
APR 0 9 2003
Division of Minerals and Ceolody
This letter will inform you that the Board of County Commissioners does not object to a
change in your reclamation permit concerning the removal of buildings at Gladstone. In fact,
the Board believes that it will be beneficial specifically to the owners of the property, Gold King
Mining, and also beneficial to the County in general for the buildings to remain in place.
Leaving the buildings in place will not conflict with the County's Zoning & Land Use
Regulation. And our knowledge of the buildings suggests that they may in fact have potential
uses beyond their current use as mining structures.
Please let us know if you need further clarification of our position on this issue.
Sincerely,
' ~ ~~~
Ernest F. Kuhlman, Chairman
Board of County Commissioners
