EXHIBIT E -RECLAMATION PLAN
The reclamation plan for the Teny Tunnel, Mayflower Mill and Tailings Ponds and Lake
Emma/Sunnyside Basin aze not affected by this Amendment submittal. This submittal
reflects proposed changes to the American Tunnel reclamation plan.
American Tunnel Facilities
The current reclamation plan carries a PMLU of rangeland for all of the permit area
except the quonset building and the access roads in the vicinity of that building which
carries a PMLU of industrial. The plan anticipates the removal of the structures other
than the quonset and access roads, permanently closing the American Tunnel portal to
access, contouring and grading the area and planting with the Mountain Mix approved in
the reclamation plan for this azea.
The verbal reclamation plan for the settling ponds near the quonset building is in conflict
with the reclamation plan map. The verbal reclamation plan is to remove the settling
ponds through contouring and planting with the Mountain Mix although the reclamation
plan map does not show their removal.
Based on the attached request by the new owner of the water treatment facility (Gold
King) and to reflect the long term plan for the azea as anoff--site water treatment facility
permitted by WQCD, Sunnyside proposes that the PMLU and reclamation plan be
changed to the following.
The American Tunnel water treatment facility will become anoff-site water treatment
facility permitted by WQCD after it is deeded to Gold King. Sunnyside will permanently
close, to access, the American Tunnel portal. Seepage, if any, from the closed American
Tunnel portal will be diverted to the water treatment plant for treatment with any other
water being treated under the CDPS permit with WQCD per the Gold King-Sunnyside
agreement. The other buildings will be converted to non-mining uses such as offices,
shops and storage. The entire American Tunnel permit area will carry a PMLU of
industrial.
E-1
