• will be mined to access the ore. Amendment No. 8 anticipates additional storage in the existing overburden storage facility in Squaw Gulch. The Squaw Gulch Overburden Storage Area ("SGOSA") is being increased in elevation and the northern and southern portions, as approved in Amendment No. 7, will be merged and encompass the backfilled Globe Hill and Ironclad Mine areas. The AGOSA footprint will remain essentially as currently permitted; however, the configuration will change slightly. Overburden storage also is expected to occur in several of the surface mine areas as backfill. The overburden storage areas and anticipated backfilling are discussed in detail in Section 5.7. New roads will need to be developed to haul ore, overburden, and soil. The approximate alignments of roads outside the active mine areas and overburden storage areas are shown on Drawing C-4. Within the active mine areas and overburden storage areas, these roads are constantly changing as mining progresses and are not shown. A description of the proposed roads is contained in Section 5.8. • Existing facilities, such as the ADR facility and the Fire Assay Laboratory Building, will not be changed as part of Amendment No. 8. Other buildings, particularly at the Ironclad facilities area, maybe consolidated or moved. The modulaz buildings and security station located adjacent to the northeast comer of the VLF at the former site of the Cazlton Mill will be relocated as a result of the Phase N VLF extension. A modular building will be installed at the existing ADR facility to serve as a relocated security entrance and first aid station. Anew ADR facility, the Phase N ADR, will have a building for employee changing and showers. Modulaz buildings will be installed as needed for extra offices and storage, particularly during construction stages. The fuel storage area and equipment ready line will be relocated as part of Amendment No. 8 activities. These areas will be relocated neaz the Ironclad Facilities area. The explosives storage azea also will be relocated to a secure site in the general vicinity of the Ironclad facilities.
