The mining, leaching, and gold recovery procedures will remain essentially the <br />• same as detailed and approved in Amendment No. 7. The reclamation plans for the <br />various components of Amendment No. 8 will have the same goals and objectives as <br />plans presented in Amendment No. 7. Much of the reclamation work required by this <br />Amendment will be a continuation of the work outlined in Amendment No. 7. <br />Nonetheless, a complete reclamation and closure plan for the areas included in this <br />Amendment is presented in Section 11.0. The revised financial warranty computation is <br />contained in Section 12.0 and includes the entire Cresson Project as amended by this <br />application. Section 12 also updates all costs to current rates. <br />Note that where conflicts in plans or procedures may arise between this <br />application and previous permits, amendments, and technical revisions, this application <br />for Amendment No. 8 supersedes the prior applications and permits issued to CC&V. In <br />addition, this Amendment No. 8 incorporates operational parameters similar to those <br />described in the approved Amendment No. 7. As such, much of the operational <br />• information in this document is already approved as part of the existing operations. <br />Changes in operational parameters are those based on new information or technologies <br />and changes in site-specific conditions. Since Amendment No. 8 is closely tied to the <br />existing operations, CC&V has reiterated already approved information in this document <br />for ease of review. Unless specifically stated, CC&V does not view such discussions as <br />constituting a re-opening of items that are currently approved. <br />1.4 Other Modifications <br />At the present time, CC&V is pursuing several other approvals contemporaneous <br />with Amendment No. 8. The documentation required for approval from Teller County <br />has been prepazed and represents Volume IX.
