Appropriate open- and cased-hole geophysical well logs and other tests shall be run. This well log suite shall be tailored to provide the data necessary to ensure adequate protection for all USDWS that will be penetrated by solution mining well(s). A descriptive report interpreting results of logs and tests shall be prepared by a knowledgeable log analyst and submitted to the Director. At a minimum, the following logs and tests shall be conducted: • Gamma Ray (GR) ; • A cement bond log (CBL), conducted according to EPA Guidance found in Appendix D, and/or a cement evaluation test (CET) on the long string casing(s) to ensure aquifer protection; and • Following two (2) but no later than six (6) months after initial injection, run a Temperature Log to ensure that there is no upward movement of fluid behind the casing; see Appendix E for Guidance. Cement bond (and/or cement evaluation) and temperature logging plans must be submitted to the EPA for approval at least 13 days prior to logging. Tf the construction of the well precludes the use of a temperature log, a noise log or an oxygen activation log together with cementing records and the appropriate cement bond/evaluation log will be used to demonstrate no fluid flow adjacent to the casing. Coring may be performed in the mining interval as needed to obtain pertinent stratigraphic data for mining planning. B. CORRECTIVE ACTION The operator shall employ due diligence to verify that the John E. Dunn Core Hole #20-1 is cemented below the Dissolution Surface and provide the results (records and information) to the Director. If not cemented in a manner that prevents fluid migration out of the mining zone, the John E.
