As tfie proposed future land use of the site is no longer residential home sites, the operator will need to salvage and stockpile p K sufficient topsoil and overburden to provide an adequate yrowth medium above the shale layer. 2. The entire site will need to be revegetated upon completion of ~ K mining, reclamation must be concurrent with mining activity. If this is the operators intention, please indicate in the affirmative. 3. If the operator chooses to broadcast seed, the rate should be doubled for each species. 4. The staff recommends that the operator consider mulching the seeded area with clean straw or native grass at the rate of 1 1/2 to 2 tons per - acre crimped to improve the growing conditions for the grass seedlings. E. Exhibit F - Reclamation Plan 1. The map the operator sub~nitted as the reclamation plan snap is a duplicate of the pre-mining and mining plan map. The reclamation plan map must portray tine expected physical appearance of the area of the affected land, correlated to the proposed mining and reclamation timetables. This map must show the proposed topoyraphy of the area with contour lines of sufficient detail to portray the direction and rate of slope of all reclaimed lands. F. During operation, all storm runoff must be directed into settling ponds prior to being allowed to leave the permit boundaries via natural ~ ~ drainage ways. The settling ponds should be designed for the 10 year 24 hour event. Please provide data location of all settliny ponds to be constructed.
