component monitoring plan two demonstrate mechanical integrity of production
wells.
1.0 TubinE/Casing Aruiulus Pressure
A continuous demonstration of the absence of significant leaks in the casing, or
tubing is performed by maintaining and monitoring tubing/casing annulus
pressure. Annulus pressure will be maintained sufficient so that annulus water
level is below the B-Groove aquifer. Maximum injection pressure is limited to
610 psig. Well head monitoring (weekly) of annulus and line pressure, and
temperature is accomplished with well head gauges. Continuous readout of well
head annulus and line pressure, temperature and flow is provided in the plant
control room. Because recovery flow readings are affected by gas bubbles, the
flow from the pregnant liquor tank is utilized to adjust calculated recovery flow.
Also, down hole pressure is continuously provided in control room from sensor
on submersible pumps.
2.0 Mud Gel (Casine Pik
The second component of the mechanical integrity monitoring plan is to monitor
the casing pack around t:he casing. First, weekly visual observation of the
casing pack is performed. Second, a more intensive demonstration of the
presence of the casing pack is performed by using a temperature logging
34
