~ ~ RECEIVED
LETTER OF CLARIFICATION (5-16-77) MAY 19 1977
ALEXANDER PIT - NIELSONS, INC. RECLAMATION SECTION
Colo. Dept, of Natural Resources
The following information is to be added to the application
for permit submitted on July 30, 1976 and should be considered
part of the same. In case of discrepancy, this material takes
precedence over material previously submitted,
ALINING PLAN
AlI of the affected area shown on the general map has been
disturbed. Approximately eight of the eleven acres south of the
county road have been mined to some degree. Future mining will
be within the shown affected area and begin with excavation of
approximately one acre in the SE corner and then proceed west.
through the present stockpile area to the existing pond. This
mining will be done in five to ten foot lifts and average 5,000
c.y./year. Only that area south of the county road will be mined
with a maximum depth of excavation to be approximately twenty feet.
As material is excavated it will be processed using a crusher.
This crushing will be performed every two to four years and last
approximately one month. Further processing will consist either of
washing the crushed rock to obtain concrete aggregates, or mixing
the crushed rock with asphaltic cement to produce hot bituminous
pavement. The equipment used in this processing is portable and
will be moved along with the stockpiles throughout the affected area.
