f J, • •
-~-
The excavation, handling and removal of material will be done with
a combination of dozers, scrapers, front-end loaders, conveyors,
and trucks using haul roads developed as needed throughout the
affected area.
A series of three or four settling ponds, totaling approximately
two acres, will be used for the gravel washing operation. These
ponds will be located near the south boundary of the affected
area and drain into the existing pond shown on the map. This
existing pond was created by previous mining and is the only
settling pond that will contain water year around.
At this time there is no definite time set for ending
operations, but it would seem that this site can provide material
at the present demand for thirty years.

RECLAr4ATION PLAN
Reclamation of this site will include grading around the
existing pond as that pond is entirely within the permit boundary.
This grading will include sloping the banks to a 3:1 or flatter
slope and leaving a rough shore line. Large rocks and stumps
from the affected area will be placed in the pond bottom to help
prevent erosion and provide better possible fish habitat. Nielson s,
Inc. does not plan on stocking this pond, but it may be desireable
for .t he land owner or Division of ~Yildlife to do so.
