Exhibit "G"
Water Information
No water from this project will be discharged into surface
s•.e,ters, and therefore we believe that no National Pollutant
Discharge Elimination System permit is necessary. Water to
wash the gravel will be drawn from a series of sump wells
located along the northern boundary of the property at points
shown on the mining Map, Exhibit "C" . After use, the water
will pass into a settling pond, and from there will filter back
into the subsurface stratas. No toxic pollutants are generated
in the process of washing the gravel , and no pollution of the
ground water system is anticipated.
The project water requirements will average 1 . 1 c.f.s . or
200, 000 gallons per 6' - 7 hour workday. The mining process is
expected to be in operation approximately 140 - 160 days a
year, as weather permits, and therefore the total annual water
requirement will be approximately 28 - 32 million gallons
i
(approximately 85 - 98 acre feet) .
The operator has an easement from the adjacent landowner,
i
Brush Creek & Eagle River Company, for the sump wells to be
dug. An appropriate application is being filed to adjudicate
water rights for these wells. See copy attached hereto. No
injury to senior water rights is anticipated.
