Mr. Thomas A. Schreiner
May 16, 2001
Page 4
Inc
call on the river, potential sources to be used will be legally available water from decreed
reservoirs or other legal options. These sources will be detailed in [he Substitute Water Supply
Plan.
11. None of the ditches within the mining area aze currently lined. Any of the ditches to be relocated
may suffer seepage losses, which will be mitigated by piping the ditch, concrete lining the ditch or
replacing the ditch using impermeable materials (clay mix soils, etc.). Prior to relocating a ditch,
an agreement will be reached with each ditch company outlining the pazameters of the relocation
so that the ditch will be protected. The ditches which aze not to be relocated will be monitored to
determine if mining activities increase seepage. To a large extent, ditches which have been
running water for 100+ years tend to seal themselves. They may or may not be hydrologically
connected to the alluvial aquifer. An agreement will be reached with each of the ditch companies
in the mining area to address their concerns and protect against adverse impacts.
12. Please refer to the attached map and well ownership list for details on wells within 600 feet of the
mining operation.
6.4.8 EXHIBIT H -Wildlife Information
13.
