This berm must be
' constructed along the 6460 contour for approximately 1,000 feet." With the berm in
place and maintained as required by the Eagle County Special Use Permit and the Mined
Land Reclamation Permit, there shou]d be zero surface water dischazge for up to the 100-
' year storm event.
Materials Handling aad Spill Prevention...
' The amount of fuel stored on-site shall be reasonable to support daily operations. Extra
unnecessary tanks shall be removed from the site and used elsewhere or disposed of
properly. Empty tanks and drums shall be refilled or disposed of properly.
Waste oil can be beneficially used as burner fuel at the B&B asphalt plant located near
Edwazds, Colorado. The waste oil will be burned to generate heat for the processing of
asphalt. The use of waste oil for heat energy is performed in compliance with air
' pollution emission standards by filtering the exhaust air through an efficient bag house
filtration system.
Section E of the SWMP describes the measures to be employed to reduce the potential
for stormwater contamination.
Uther Pollution Prevention Measures
' At this time, other Best Management Practices (SNP's) are not proposed beyond those
described above. The operator of this facility shall review water quality data obtained
' from site monitoring and may, at his discretion, implement other control measures. If
additional BMP's or modifications to the stormwater project plan are required, these
changes will be noted in the annual report to the CDOH.
