Miscellaneous Utilities. Underground utility reclamation, including phone lines, water
lines, and powerlines, will be abandoned in place.
Sediment Ponds. The two sediment ponds will be totally reclaimed. Locations of the
impoundments are shown Exhibit 12-2. Material adjacent to the ponds gill be used to fill
the ponds in.
Road Reclamation. There are approximately 3,300 ft. of haul roads that will be reclaimed,
antl 400 feet of access roads that will be reclaimed. It was assumed that this could be
accomplished in three 8-hour shifts by a D10N dozes. ***
Railroad. The track and ties will be removed from the site. Costs for this operation
were determined using CIRCES. Ballast will. be picked up and loaded by scraper to cut
areas that will be covered with adjacent slope material. Cut areas will not require the
disposal of ballast material due to the fact that these areas will be filled in anyway.
Prior to pushing material into a cut area, the topsoil will be dozed out of the way. Once
the area has been graded, the topsoil will be respread with dozers. After the areas have
been topsoiled, then revegetation can take place.
Finish Grading. A cost has been estimated to finish grade the area with wheeled motor
graders. This was based on CDMG estimated time frame of 81.1 hours.
Rill and Gu11y Repair. A cost to conduct the rill and gully repair (including sediment
ponds) has been included in this estimate. It has been assumed that this task could be
handled with a Cat D3C Dozer every two year and would continue for th=_ 10 year liability
period.
Fleet Determination
Once the volumes for the various phases of reclamation were determined, the number of
shifts, hours per shift, equipment types, operator/operating efficiencies, support
equipment, and overall reclamation time span, all of which ultimately affect mobilization
and demobilization, had to be determined. The following discussion provides the
considerations utilized in determining the equipment fleet needed. •
TR-06 9 Revised OS/OS
